What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy merges various approaches and elements of Clients and their issues and Therapists and their techniques, including hypnosis. This diverse mix helps the Client review and consider their way of thinking about their world.
In a relaxed and caring environment, you begin to gain confidence to discuss personal issues and emotions. As Therapists, we respect that being yourself is an intensely private affair and that the thought of therapy is daunting, so we make every effort to put you at your ease.
Hypnotherapy is great for resolving almost any issue and be assured that all enquiries are treated with full confidentiality, understanding and patience.

Hypnosis can be defined as a state of focussed relaxation. Ever driven from your home to a usual destination and arrived unable to recall the journey? Or got engrossed in a book or a film so you are oblivious to everything around you? Trance is a very natural state of mind that we all adopt throughout the day. Sometimes it is known as “daydreaming” or “switching off”. If you can relate to this you know too that you remain in full control and partially aware, and in this respect hypnosis is unlike sleep.
It has been used in healing for centuries and in many cultures. When used in Hypnotherapy to access your subconscious and reinforce ideas and positive changes within you it becomes very meaningful.
You can discuss with your therapist if/ Sometimes it may benefit you to be taught self-hypnosis, which is not dissimilar to mindfulness or meditation.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) a technique founded by Dr Richard Bandler and John Grinder.
An effective method for understanding how we think and how that thinking leads to how we behave. NLP can change those old thinking patterns that lead to unhelpful behaviour.
Concerns the brain and things that go on in your mind. Also the rest of the neurological system, including the five senses.
This relates to language, both spoken and non-spoken (sometimes called body language).
This is about your behaviour and your thinking patterns.
Thought Field Therapy (TFT)
A highly specialised and powerful technique for the rapid elimination of all types of emotional distress. It involves tapping your fingers on specific points on the body located along energy meridians and can help with eliminating negative emotions.
It can be especially useful for people who find it difficult to explain traumatic past situations.
